Rated 5 out of 5 by from Success! Repair's now been down for a fortnight on an unadopted road leading to 6 houses, and shows no sign of cracking up or coming loose. The granules were simply poured into the hole (treated first with cold joint sealer), levelled with a chunk of timber and firmed down by whacking the timber with a big hammer as I moved it across the repair. To sum up, so far it's worked as well as I could have hoped

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does a great job... Easy to use, looks great - probably the best cold-lay hole fixing solution ever...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First use...impressed Having used cold lay for years and often been disappointed I thought I would give this a try. Its made of quite fine particles and is stiffer than cold lay. Bit of the spray tack and once worked into the defect and compacted it forms an surprisingly robust surface which stands traffic much better than cold lay and doesn't seem to re soften in hot weather.

I intend to power spray the potholes to ensure all dirt removed, do I have to wait until surfaces are dry before using spray and filler?

Asked by: Geoff5479
from UltraCrete website Application Pothole repairs can be achieved at any depth. 1. Ensure pothole is free of debris and standing water. 2. Apply UltraCrete SCJ spray sealant to pothole edges. 3. Apply the product slightly proud of the pothole. 4. Compact with a hand tamper, or suitable mechanical alternative.

how hard should it be in the pack

TBH No! Not at point of use. I've used this product several times and it's good but it should be soft/scoopable when you lay it. You just tip and level. Having said you're supposed to leave in a warm place prior to allow it to soften and I've just left my tubs in a bath of warm water for 30mins beforehand - that should soften yours. Good luck!
