Hiring tools with Screwfix is simple and hassle-free. You select your tool online at screwfix.com. Choose from flexible hire periods: weekend, week, two weeks, or four weeks. Once you’ve added your hire to the basket and completed payment, the Speedy Hire team will contact you within 2 working hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5pm) to confirm your preferred delivery date and time.
Orders placed before 5pm Monday–Friday qualify for our standard 2-day delivery lead time. Once your order is placed, Speedy will call you within 2 working hours to confirm your delivery date.
Yes! After you order, Speedy will contact you within 2 working hours to arrange a date that works for you. If you don’t specify, the default is delivery within 2 working days (for orders placed before 5pm).
Yes. You must be 18 or over to hire tools. We operate a Challenge 25 policy, so please have valid ID ready.
Yes. The person who placed the order must be present with photo ID to confirm age and customer details.
You can use your Screwfix account details and payment options. We’ll also need your phone number, email, and delivery address.
We understand accidents happen! Any damage will be documented by Speedy Hire when the tool is collected. Please call Speedy Hire on 03456 461908 (Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5pm) with your order confirmation to report any issues.
Yes. We do not deliver to ROI, IOM, Jersey, Guernsey, or some Scottish Island postcodes. IOW deliveries are only on Wednesdays.
No. Hire products cannot be delivered or returned to Trade Counters under any circumstance.

No. We currently offer fixed hire periods: 4 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week, or weekend. If you need the tool longer, you’ll need to place a new order. Speedy will collect the original item and deliver the new one.
