Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable element Poor reliability, Bought last January, and only lasted until just out of warranty.Hardly used. Screwfix refused to replace it as it was just out of warranty

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only a matter of time Fitted over 8 of these over the last year. Ive had to replace over 5 of them. Ive had to replace at my own cost and the whole rad has to come off. Faults range from tripping RCD, gone open circuit and had one that would not shut down so kept heating the rad. Sounded like a kettle. Also flimsy connections on element itself. Screwfix stop selling the TeslaUK brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does as it should Easy to fit to a water filled electric only radiator. Works as expected. Combined with the Kudox electronic heating element controller it works well as background heat in my kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the job!!!! Bought this element to use as an electric only towel radiator in a down stairs toilet. Fitted using PTFE tape as instructed. Easy to fit and no leaks!!! The radiator gets really hot when on full (I also used the controller from screwfix). Really happy with my purchase. I will be buying another to use as a dual fuel for upstairs.

Cable length

What length of cable is supplied with this unit? Thanks S
Asked by: GarfieldL

I have a 1800 by 600 Wingrave Towel Radiator plumbed into the central heating.

Is the 600w heater element suitable for this radiator if it is fitted together with a Kudox Controller. Please advise.
Asked by: woodturn
Good morning Woodturn. When fitting the towel radiator elements you should choose one with a wattage lower than that listed for the radiator so it would depend on the recommended wattage for your Wingrave Towel Radiator. Thank you for using Q&A

Element Diameter

The old element from oil filled rad is 1-2mm wider than this one. The new element will certainly fit, but will it work correctly conducting the heat around the rad? I don't want to burn out the element.
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, As long as the wattage does not exceed that of the radiator this will be fine. Thank you for using Q&A.

Will this 690mm long element fit into the 700mm high radiator product 8318V? also does it matter that the radiator only gives out 252 watts at T50C and the element is 600watts?

Asked by: Learner
Hello Learner, you cannot exceed the wattage of the rad so if the rad is 252W the lagest element you can place in the rad would be 250W i hope this is useful thank you for using Q and A.JB
