Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Battery Included. Item description needs to make clear that the battery is sold separately. Other reviews help to work out which battery bit the item description makes it sound like it's included but it's not! Frustrating

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and cheerful Actually fitted this to a mobility scooter that has to have an amber warning light to the rear if its been driven on the road in poor lighting conditions. Apparently the item you could get from a scooter dealer is very expensive. This item isn't. I see that another reviewer says you need to put the lamp together carefully as you twist the lamp to turn it off and on. I will have to look at it again when I next see it because I thought the contacts where a continuous ring. I put the rubber cap back on the centre terminal of the battery to keep it turned off when not needed. Maybe I'm being dim. The item itself appears well made and robust. The moulding to hold the battery makes a nice tight grip, with the top on there wasn't any movement inside when shaken. Nice broad reflective band around the body. The screw fitting has a good shoulder on it and goes in by Allen key, supplied. The threaded plastic receiver is a good right FIT and is deep enough to take the entire screw. It almost felt as secure as a nylock. The handle looked a bit pathetic but it withstood me giving it a tug. A nice but of inexpensive kit and now that I've read it's "turn on and offable" I reckon 5 stars is fair. Especially if you use it for its intended purpose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does the job purchased this to fit to some scaffolding we had up when we were replacing outside lights on a building. The item does not come with a battery and you will need a pj996 battery. screwfix sell these item number 3112G. The lamp does come with a bolt and allen key to attach to scaffolding to prevent theft it also has a little plastic handle for carrying the lamp. Care needs to be taken installing the top of the lamp to the base as the swivel head is used for turning the lamp on and off and if its not fitted correctly means the lamp cant be turned off. the lamp doesnt have a photocell fitted so in day light hours you have to remember to switch it off so you dont exhaust the battery.

What battery do I need?

2 of the reviews state different battery types, what battery is required and any idea how long it’ll last?
Asked by: Rob191
6V PJ996 battery. Has to search to find this info as it's not at all obvious on this site. The JSP Microlite also has a photocell that ensures the lens is only triggered in poor light conditions when it is needed most, and that helps to boost the life of the unit’s 6V PJ996 battery for up to 65 hours. The JSP Microlite Hazard Warning Cone Lamp is the ideal solution for increasing the visibility of roadworks and similar hazards, particularly in foggy conditions, adverse weather or during the night. The JSP Microlite has been designed to comply with regulation EN12352 which governs traffic control equipment. Plus, its 360° amber lens conforms to British Standard 3143-2:1990 for road danger lamps and features a twist on/off function making it easily visible from any angle. The JSP Microlite’s compact and durable plastic housing is built to survive the demands of continued on-site use and extreme weather. Using the robust elastomer handle the unit can be attached to various traffic cones, skip sides, or lamp hooks.

I can't see where the battery should go, any advice?
Asked by: Michelle2
Screwing the top half (orange) section of the light off will reveal the section of the Hazard light you need to insert the battery.
