The Bostik Laybond Wood Floor Adhesive is a solvent based flooring adhesive that is designed for bonding final finish wood flooring ( such as wood block, wood strip and parquet ) to porous, rigid, clean and sound sub floors such as concrete, sand cement screeds, cement based floor levelling compounds, flooring grade plywood and chipboard. The reclaimed wood flooring will also need to be sound, clean, dry, and free of any contamination and the levelling compound will need to be cement based and be sound, dry, clean and porous.
The primer for the product is the Bostik Cempolay Universal Primer ( which is a water based acrylic primer ) and is applied diluted with water at a ratio of 1 primer to 2 parts water by volume, this is left to dry for a few hours before the adhesive is applied.
