A Suitable Duel Fuel Heating Element?
What element is suitable, Screwfix does not suggest, There are many, different sizes & heat output, do I need a similar width element; if the wattage is 200 does the element have to facilitate this or can be higher etc.?
Asked by: SPLu
Hello SPLu,
We recommend the Towel Radiator Element 150W (73098) as a higher wattage may cause excessive localised heating in the area where the element is fitted.

What rad thermo valves are suitable
Does it matter whether they are straight, angled? This is confusing for me. And Screwfix does not give suggestions on suitable accessories. Thanks.

Hello SPLu,
We would recommend manual valves, either angled or straight will depend on the direction of your pipework.

Thread type
Is this a tapered 1/2inch thread and so needs PTFE to make the seal watertight?
Asked by: Rajdiy
Hello Rajdiy,
Yes, these will need PTFE to make them water tight.
