Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scarifier I used my brother in law's scarifier last year, this same one, and found it to work very well. Unfortunately it was out of stock then, so I couldn't buy my own. This year I have managed to get hold of it, and I'm hoping to get good use out of it. On my first go, I used the medium setting. It took out most of the mossy stuff, and the lawn looks great. I hope it lasts me a while. Very easy to use and was quite simple to put together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scarifier/Raker so far so good Never scarified the lawn before and thought it about time to give it a good refresh. Applied moss killer a week previous and used this scarifier to remove thatch. It took up so much after only a few meters lengths I found myself emptying the collection bag frequently. Haven't changed the scarification blades to the raking ones as yet but so far so good! Really pleased with this machine so far and would recommend but one challenge is finding a store that has one available.

scarifier cuts out

how do i reset the scarifier thermal overload it keeps cutting out after a short time thanks

Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the following extract from the instruction manual: The overload protection will be activated in the following circumstances: 1. A build up of scarified material around the cutting device. 2. If the material scarified is larger then the motor capacity. 3. Where there is too much resistance against the cutting device. When the circuit breaker has been activated switch off the product and disconnect from the power supply. Let the product cool down and eliminate the cause before using the product again. Which cylinder do I use to get rid of moss?

I am confused what the difference is between raking and scarifying? Which one do I use to remove moss? And do I apply feed and weed to kill the moss first? Thanks

Hello Martrayf, The raker should be used to help remove the dead matter,moss and weed which disfigures a lawn. The weed killer and feed should applied afterwards. Thank you for using Q&A
