Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly easy Fantastic, I'm a ambitious diy'er and plumbing was never a strong point, these are a brilliant alternative to the plastic piping alternative because they look like i know what I'm doing...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used correctly they are great These fittings are a bit more expensive than traditional fittings and they are also more expensive than plastic pushfit fittings, BUT they are well worth the money in my opinion. They are easy to use - once you know how - and they look the danglies when you are done. They also have the benefit of being rotatable once they are fitted. The one thing I would say you must do to use these properly is to use a compressing-type pipe cutter. The ends of copper pipes are square-cut by the manufacturer, and, if you use a hacksaw, or a grinder the same thing will happen - and these fittings don't like that. You will find a square cut quite hard to insert into the fitting and you will run the risk of messing up the rubber seal (I know, I have done it!). But, if you use a compressing type pipe cutter like a quick cutter, the end of the pipe will be slightly curved inwards and *that* suits these fittings right fine. Make sure your pipe is clean and round, use a quick cutter and these fittings will never let you down. I now never use anything else...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Demountable requirement The correct elbow for a pumped pipeline as it reduces head loss compared with a sharp 90 degree bend but is not .demountable. Why cant we have the elbow with the demountable design as in the Tectite brass push-fit. Then we have best of both worlds.

Copper to plastic and back

temporarily moving hot water tank, wondered if these would go on the copper tube, take a plastic pipe which we can bend easily to the new temporary location and reattach with another of these to the copper fittings on the tank?
