Rated 5 out of 5 by from very usefull easy to use and neat looking, matches the copper pipes, they allow sideways movement which can be good or bad( if u have some more fittings on a run and it could be a bit flimsy) not removable once there on, but overall, well pleased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! Bought 4 elbows for refitting a radiator, Only one of the four did not leak. Had to cut out the fittings and replaced with plastic push fit connectors. I would not recommend the fittings after this experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tectite Sprint does the job Easy to fit and no leaks as long as you have a square end to the pipe, a pipe cutter is a must, ensure the copper pipe is fully inserted it is possible to think you are there before it is fully in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DIYer I had removed an old radiator and cut out the old pipework and was ready to replace the radiator but onto another wall. I had the option of compression, soldering(don't have the tools) or push fit. Initially was looking at the plastic route but I just don't trust them and the house is all copper anyway. Found these and after trial and error can say - do not bother hack sawing your existing copper, expecting these to work well, even if you take reasonable care. They will leak even with a good amount of deburring. Instead invest in a pipe slicer and tidy up the cut as you need too. Quicker and you'll get the reliable seal the rubber of these push fit fittings need to work well. If your cut of the adjoining pipe is good and straight, the play in the pipes angle will be minimal and just 'work'. Make sure you spend the moment to join these fully home before finishing the job too. Good product when used properly but can see how they and plastic push fittings can end in disaster when rushed and not thought out. Marked down overall as you just can't compare against a soldered joint in my opinion.

Are these fittings reusable?

Asked by: Ivan3846
No The tektite range are not removable. Conex cuprofit are releasable with a plastic tool that costs about £1.50. Sadly Screwfix do not stock them.

Hi, would it be recommended to use this fitting for heating pipe to radiators within sand cement screed

Asked by: Backey

do I just push the pipe in, no twisting

Am I right in thinking the pipe is simply pushed into the elbow, no twisting. Also is it reusable.
Asked by: CasaRosas

can this type of fitting be used with gas

Asked by: myorange5
No push fit fittings are allowed on gas pipe work unless manufacturer states otherwise. Only a gas safe qualified and registered engineer should work on gas pipe work and appliances. Safety first gas is very dangerous.

Can I use copper push fit on plastic pipe?

Asked by: TEdm
Looking at the Tectite.co.uk web site it shows that the sprint and pro ranges can be used on copper, PEX & PB (PEX is cross linked polyethylene like the speedfit white pipe from screwfix) it does not state if you need inserts to complete the seal but I suspect not with copper.
