Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tub number 5 This is the 5th tub I have bought to complete replacing all window and door seals. All glazing over 10 years old and probably 25% of the seal are perished or degraded so much they break in your fingers. Tried one tub and the hardest job is cleaning out the old degraded seal out of the recess in the frame or window. Once out I found it easy to install and without using washing up liquid to help installation. Decided to replace all. took 5 tubs. Cheaper than new windows and doors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Bought this to replace a worn out seal on a 10 year old door, easy push fit, good quality, almost identical to original, not like some of the cheap thin rubber ones you can buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Door seal Bought to replace the old seal. Very easy to use, just cut size you need and fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Very easy to fit. Does exactly as it says . Hardest part was getting old seal out which had rotted and gone all sticky like glue.

Does the Stormguard white seal have good uv resistance or will it deteriorate, or does the black seal have better uv resistance?

Using in Upvc double glassed window frames
Asked by: Trebor61

Can this be used externally?

Can this replace the hard rubber external gasket which has shrunk on the outside of window. We're getting a lot of water leaking in.
Asked by: LGro
Hi LGro, This can be used externally and should seal fine for this.

Can this be placed in the gap between floorboard and cieling to floor full length window frame ending on the floor creating a gap between floorboard and windows edge?

Is this self adhesive? In which case it won't work as I need to just push in the gap between the carpet and floorboard
Asked by: MrFixit13
Hi, This is not a self adhesive seal, it has a foot to be pushed into a groove around a door/window.

Glass or external

Hi, to be clear is this to be used between the glass and UPVC or along the edge of the window frame where the frame and the window meet? (like a draught excluder)
Asked by: DawnS
Used both on window frame and window itself, both have gaskets / seals to prevent draught and water ingress where they meet each other. Not used though to seal in the glass units which would require a different product.

Is this suitable for replacing window gasket?

I have issues with cold air coming through the windows, long term I need to replace the glazing, but as a temporary measure, could I replace the gasket with this?
Asked by: Rhill327
This is suited to plastic UPVC windows or doors. If you have this type the old gaskets normally just push in and pull out and sit in a groove behind. You could carefully remove a small part of the existing seal to make sure this is the case and so that you can replace it again afterwards. Carefully removing a small piece of gasket from the groove should enable you to try pushing in a small part of the new seal to check that you are going to be happy with the new replacement fit.
