Why does my tape rattle when retracted?

I bought this exact tape measure a couple days ago and straight out of the packaging it makes a rattling noise when retracted, it almost sounds like the spring isn’t under enough tension, could someone please help as to why this is happening?? Cheers

Hi JackC17, Sorry that your having this issue. Its very difficult to to comment on why the tape is rattling without physically seeing it. If your unhappy with the product please return it to your local branch and we will quite happily swap this for a new tape.
