Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable I find MK better, lasting longer than other soft click easy to activate for anyone - no false contact

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extremely tight terminal screw I thought at first I had bought a new design of switch as the terminal holes looked too big and the screws refused to budge using a normal screwdriver. It took a change to a really meaty tool and application of considerable torque before I could get the screws to budge. Once underway though they were fine and I could revert back to a normal wiring screwdriver. No idea why they were so tight, checked for cross threading etc but I guess they were just poorly finished at the factory, big fan of MK so a bit disappointing really. Top tip: Start with your best and tightest blade as the screws are brass and any loose fitting screwdriver blade will twist in the slot and damage the screw heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good price but no good The screws are too short and unless you have spare long screws at home

Why this switch has 4 holes at back?

1. 1 way 2. 2 way 3. SP ?? 4. COM What is SP used for?
Asked by: Anonymous
SP is single pole (only switches live) and DP is double pole (switches live & neutral). DP switches in lighting are rare because you need to wire the circuit in a specific way to use DP switches.

Terminal screws for com, L1&2 seem too short

Brass screws in the 1way switches screw all the way down through the terminal hole. However on the 2Way and Intermediate switches. The brass screws barely screw down at all. Max about 1mm is visible in terminal hole. Why?
Asked by: DGGrim
Problems solved. Seen many posts about the screws being very hard to loosen and it’s the same for tightening. You almost feel like you’re going to break it but they do tighten all the way.

Is this suitable for a 2 way switch?

I’ve got lights in my hallway with two switches (one at either end) so the switch needs to turn on and off in both directions. Is this switch a suitable replacement?
Asked by: AnotherReviewer1
Yes. The question has been asked previously and that's what my answer is based on. (Page 2 of the questions, I think it's the first question asked)
