Rated 5 out of 5 by from great item I needed 2 of these restrictors to allow UPVC french doors to be held open at around 135 degrees and they do the job perfectly. A number of other similar products will only allow a maximum 90 degree opening. I’ve purchased Mila products before and they have lasted for years, so have rated this item as 5 for reliability although I’ve only been using it for a few days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but if kit Too many cheap versions around which just don’t do the job properly and snap when the wind catches a door. Fitted this for one of my frail customers on a heavy door that gets caught by the wind and slams against the house. Problem solved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Purchased to stop garage door hitting house wall. Euro groove in door frame but composite door fitted so had to chisel groove in top of door to accommodate the swivel arm. The suggested 90mm did not work on my door (closer to 70mm) but simply taped up with duct tape to identify correct measurement before chiselling door. Works great and excellent value.

Door stay

As well a restrictor, does this function as a door stay when fully extended?
Asked by: lewjg
No. This will restrict the angle the door opens to but will not hold it in a position.

Will this work with bi fold doors?

Asked by: gardenstudio
It could do as long as it did not interfere with the doors sliding.

How far can this be set to hold a door open - for example will it go to 120 degrees?

Asked by: Stubbsie14
The angle depends on where you set the product so 120 degrees can be achieved.

Can you Set to less than 90 degrees

To stop a blind unit hitting internal reveal on opening can you set To less than 90 degrees. (Door opens inwards)
Asked by: Wotnobeer
Position the door to maximum opening angle required. Position black slide against end stop of c-track frame part. Ensure max angle of sash arm to c-track frame part is less than 80 degrees when fixing in position. Fix restrictor to top of door.

Would it be possible to fit one to the top and bottom of the door for double the staying power?

Asked by: Anonymous
It would help to fit two if the door was used a lot, they would both need to be in exactly the same place though to avoid one stopping the door before the other. It would slow down the movement of the door with two but generally one is sufficient. Hope this helps.
