Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product First time I ever left a review but after using this product had to pass on my experience with this. My normal self levelling product was out of stock so had to use this, followed instructions to the letter but as one other person stated product dried instantly on pouring no chance to level out was drying to a powder after just one minute of leaving bucket. Never again, going to have to gun it up and start again. Terrible!

Can this product be used outside, need to level small area over existing concrete prior to laying bonded resin.

Is this ok for a garage floor?

I want to go over a slightly bumpy concrete garage floor and make it smooth, is this product suitable to be used as the 'top coat' of the floor. Its a domestic garage with light use.

Can I place white goods directly on the surface ?

When the surface is fully dry can I place the tumble dryer and washing machine directly on the surface (temporarily at least) ? Thanks.
Asked by: MattKelly155
Mapei Ultraplan renovation screed is not a wearing surface therefore you would need to put something over the top, Tiles, carpet etc before putting white goods on top

Can this product be placed over old vinyl tiles with a concrete floor underneath? also what is the best primer to use for this product?

A large part of the floor I am levelling has old vinyl tiles still in place, however some of them have been removed. Is this product suitable to fill in those gaps? approx 4mm. Also what primer is best used with this compound? Thanks
Asked by: Timbojnr
Providing the existing vinyl tils are solidly and securely bonded it is possible to apply a smoothing compound over them once they have been thoroughly cleaned, degreased and primed using Mapei Eco Prim Grip. It may be possible to infill the areas where the tiles have been removed, but all the existing adhesive would need to be removed back to a clean solid substrate. Once cleaned and vacuumed and providing the substrate is cementitious based the areas can be primed using Mapei Primer G and once dry infilled using Mapei Ultraplan Renovation screed 3240 finished flush with the surface of the tiles. Once the initial application of the Mapei Ultraplan Renovation screed had dried fully it can be primed using Mapei Primer G and allowed to dry. Mapei Ultraplan Renovation screed 3240 can then be applied over both the in filled areas and the existing tiles that have been primed with Mapei Eco Prim Grip. A alternative option would be of course to remove the existing tiles and prepare the subfloor ensuring all adhesive residues and other contamination is removed. The subfloor can then be vacuumed to remove all dust and debris prior to applying two coats of Mapei Primer G (allowing each subsequent coat to dry). Mapei Ultraplan Renovation screed 3240 can then be applied over the entire area.
