Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just about ok Won't last 5 years if set to run for a long period (e.g. 30 mins) but Manrose are pretty good about warranty replacements. Keep the receipt. The two most recent ones I've fitted omit the small wiring harness inside. It is not easy to fit normal T&E cable to the small terminals now, which is what the harness was for. I just recycled the harness from the old broken units, since they were like-for-like replacements due to failure, but you won't have this option for a new install. A cost saving measure too far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MANROSE MG100T extra or fan Bought as a direct replacement for the same model that lasted well over 10 years. Easy to install, quieter than the previous model. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet ceiling fan My old bathroom ceiling fan stopped working after 22 years, so doesn’t owe me anything. This one looked like it with a similar spec and size. Was a bit puzzled by the wiring diagrams which covered three models each one different. No code to clearly see which one I’d bought but on closer look at the diagrams I could see it could only be one of three shown. It puzzled me a bit because it asked for a three amp fuse to protect the fan and there appeared to be 2 lives and a neutral but my ceiling wiring was a simple 3 core cable with neutral live and earth. I took it to a friend who is an electrician for advice. He said all the lighting is covered by a 5 amp fuse so not to panic about the 3 amp fuse. Also my ceiling earth was acting as a second live. This unit didn’t need an earth. So got all wired up and working, all very quiet. You can also adjust the length of time the fan remains on after turning off the lights. All good and easy to wire, once I knew how!

Hi, Can anyone advise the spigot depth of this fan. It will be ceiling mounted were there is limited space. Thanks,

The spigot for the ducting to attach to is 52mm long.

What is the difference between this and the £17 one?

They both appear to have the same spec in terms of dimensions, decibel level & cubic m/ph. Is it just that one is of more sturdy construction?

What do you need to stop cold air coming in? I got a fan fitted but ever since my bathroom is freezing and it's well insulated and heated but feels like an icebox

Asked by: Bell34
I’ve fitted one of these to the ceiling and the extract tubing goes vertically to the ventilator outlet in the roof apex of my bungalow. I have the same problem and what is needed is a drop down cover to prevent the draft. Does anybody know if there is a solution.
