Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat little product I’m a wood carver and I bought this honing guide to try as I hadn’t used one before. For it’s price it is really good and can hold a variety of sizes. There was a slight wobble on the wheel but I adjusted that. So far, I am happy with this product.

can this be used to sharpen knives at the correct angle?

i am looking for something to keep knife blades at the correct angle for sharpening and want to know if this would do the job.

No, this will only sharpen things with a chisel like tip. It won't account for the curvature in the knife and will grip poorly at the point. A (fairly; plenty of sharpening systems can cost hundreds) affordable sharpening system would be the Lansky sharpening system, you may have to look elsewhere for it however.
