Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but I have both of these, this and the Erbauer. Screwfix do jot sell the replacement blades, which is very annoying. I use it to take up floors, then use a multi-tool to finish the edges.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mini saw The first time I used this the laser line was good. But in the middle of this first cut of 18",it started pointing off line. Screwfix refunded me with no issues. Just could have done without having to go out again in the current climate. Good price just a bit flimsy on the laser holder. Also while looking at the saw before use kept turning the laser on by accident. Needs a bit better protection around button to prevent turning on inadvertently. Also it does not do bevel cuts as described in my catalogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy tool for a beginner I bought this to cut some 18mm floorboards when I was having some issues with bigger circular saws. I'm very much a new on the DIY scene and in no time I was able to cut straight cuts with this without needing a guide. My only complaint is that Screwfix don't seem to sell the 76mm replacement blades for this so you have to hunt around for it in other DIY stores

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected Couldn't decide between this and the more expensive one available from Screwfix, in the end went for this one and I'm extremely pleased with it. More features than I expected, easy to use and did the job perfectly. Definitely recommend this product.

Bevel cuts

On page 966 of your catalogue it says this product does bevel cuts from 0 to 46 degrees. However, your website says the bevel angle is fixed at 0 degrees and your answers to three questions say it doesn't do bevel cuts. Is the catalogue wrong?
Asked by: Costermonger

When starting a cut and the steel base (front half of it) is flat on the board one has to push down so that the blade emerges below the steel plate. By pushing this way it lifts the front of the plate off the board.

How can one maintain the steel plate flat on the board at the start of a cut if the back part of it is not on the board and one is pushing down behind the steel plate.

I am looking for a small plunge saw that will cut 22mm chipboard flooring as close to the wall as possible - anyone know how close this will cut ?

Asked by: NNNNNNNzz
The closest this will cut is over 3cm from the wall so you're better of using a multi tool for that. I find the 18v Dewalt Multitool ideal for cutting floorboards and other stuff close to the walls!
