Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Bother I have no idea how the designer expected anyone to ever connect a cable to this device. Unless you drill additional holes on the underside, you cannot feed cables in this way. The layout indicates that they'll be backfed, but no way are you going to get two sheathed cables through that route. No idea how well it works, because it's now in the bin - waste of time, money and effort

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap but faulty Unable to set the LUX level to stop unit switching on in daylight at midday. No matter how bright the sensor switches on the power, therefore unable to use. Could just be a faulty unit but little point in chancing exchanging for another one as apparently the unit defaults to first setting after a power failure and would need to be opened and reset each time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very discreet after all I bought this as it looked much more discreet that the traditional sensors, and at first impression I was impressed! It has a nifty timer to turn off in the dead of night then turn on again just before morning broke which I thought was a great idea! However! There are 3 different modes it can be put on to do different things and the led indicator that shows which mode it's on, is ridiculously bright! I mean when stood directly directly in front of it at night it's like a laser pen in your face! I found some black electrical tape on the inside of the case covering the lens solved this, but really there's no need to be able to see the led when the case is on so why bother?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product Returned I had high expectations of this product but alas I had to return it. I wanted a Dawn to Dust sensor with the ability to switch off after a pre-set time. *1 After a power outage, the product reverted to it default setting of D2D *2 Any changes required you to unscrew the tiniest screw and open case to adjust any settings *3 LUX Level caused my lights to switch on/off 10 times before they came on *4 No manual override *5 Adjustable timer is the tiniest control ever, up to 8 hours but impossible to predict what you have set. *6 Dusk naturally changes through the year, plus BST too so product timer again will need opening up and changing. Not an easy task if installed high up Conclusion if you want a cheap D2D switch then is will be okay, any of the other functions - forget it!

Reverse to on in the day?

Can this be set to come on at dawn and go off at dusk? To run a small ventilation fan during the daytime. Thanks

Can anyone help with timer/settings

Hi, I simply want this to turn the lights on at dusk, stay on for 4-6hrs & then go off. Can’t seem to get the settings right. Have a got a dud or is this just naff??
Asked by: CNS23
Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. These can take a bit of trial and error but if you have tried adjusting the timer and lux settings with no luck perhaps you have a faulty unit which you should return to a trade counter for an exchange. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause. Thank you for using Q&A.

Works 1 day a week

Can someone else with the settings. The sensor works perfectly 1 day a week (Sunday) every week. Never on any other day.
Asked by: SU1993VAN
Hello SU1993VAN, There are not settings on the sensor which would allow this to only work for 1 day a week so this does sound like a faulty item. Please return this to your local store for a replacement. Thank you for using Q&A
