Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Bought this splitter for use in my daughters new house, where the aerial is in the loft. They have two aerial sockets which had been cabled up by the builder but needed to be connected. This splitter was perfect, easy to use and install in the loft, no power needed (although we did put in an aerial booster in the lounge to strengthen the signal) both sockets give a good range of free digital channels. You will need some F type coax connectors. Would recommend. Plus great service from Screwfix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job perfect I Needed a new connection splitter as the owners on the house previously hadn’t installed correctly. This product allowed me to run 2 connections (1 for the bedroom and 1 for the living room) down the side of the house. Very good design to prevent any water-ingress. Would highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job I needed a splitter for an outdoor aerial cable to add an additional connection to my kitchen, rather than trail wires through my house. The splitter did the job, giving me two connections from the aerial to the living room and the kitchen, and providing better TV signal in the kitchen from the ariel on the roof. The outdoor splitter also comes with a plastic housing to protect the splitter and cables from the elements. The whole product seems sturdy and it came at a reasonable price.

What is dc pass

One outlet has dc pass and the other doesn’t, why is this as the one without I can’t get a tv reception with?
Asked by: Elpieo
DC pass allows a 12v dc voltage to pass on this leg to power something like a masthead amplifier if one is fitted.

Passive splitters have loss or attenuation figures.

Sorry if a bit pedantic, but browsing this section of the website it has come to my attention that you are displaying incorrect figures for the passive non-powered splitters. Passive splitters have loss or attenuation figures, Not gain.
Asked by: GITRbug
Thanks for bringing this to our attention - we have submitted changes for the Screwfix website to display the correct information, which is as follows: remove the mention of 'gain' and 'line powered', as this information is incorrect, then add 'DC Pass in either direction' and 'loss figures of 450-1000MHz <5.0dB 1750-2400MHz <6.0dB'. We hope that clears things up and thanks again for letting us know.

Removal of component

How do you remove the internal component from its plastic surround without damaging it. It only appears to partially come out when pulled
Asked by: Steveathome
The metal housing slides within the plastic casing, I am not sure on how to fully remove.

Excuse my ignorance, does this item need power, and what would be the best f type connector to use with this, to use on a coax cable ? Many thanks

Asked by: Alancarol
The Labgear 2-Way Outdoor Splitter does not require power, and can be used with the following screw on connectors, https://www.screwfix.com/p/labgear-coaxial-f-plug-pack-of-10/17061?_requestid=235778

will this split 2 single lnb's for example 1 lnb at astra 28 and 1 lnb at astra 19?

Asked by: Spence42
As LNB feeds are always active it is not possible to split them like a conventional Aerial.
