I am wanting to fix soundproofing plasterboard onto an already tiled bathroom wall, without having to remove the tiles. Do you think this will do the job? If not - any suggestions please
No it wouldn’t , far to thin , although you could “key “the tiles with blue grit ( although with the methods below you shouldn’t need blue grit ) it would just add extra key ( grip)
1 dab your soundboard on with plasterboard adhesive
2 Or fix the plasterboard with the foam plasterboard adhesive ( NOT expanding foam) the one meant for fixing plasterboards
Or use a 300 cartridge of strong adhesive , like mega grip / pink gripfill etc just check to make sure it’s suitable for your use age , loads on the market these days
Probably more ways to do it, but they are the 3 that spring to mind
Ps are the tiles stuck to the wall well ( as they will have the weight of the soundboard etc to take )
