Faithfull 778 Rebate Woodworking Plane 1.5" (658HL)
Designed to cut rebates up to 38mm (1 1/2"). Features cast iron body with accurately ground base, 2-position cutter for rebate and bull nose work, double-sided adjustable fence, spur for cross-grain cutting and accurate depth stop. Fence can be used on either side of the plane. Versatile twin-position cutter can be used in the centre position for cutting rebates, and includes a fine screw adjuster for precise control of the depth of cut; when moved to the front position, it can also be used for cutting into corners (bullnose work). Cutting spur is of a rotatable disc style: loosen the screw and prise the spur away from plane body with small flat bladed screwdriver (rotate so the round edge protrudes from the plane base and retighten screw). Blade will require honing before use.
