Rated 5 out of 5 by from Important information ... Some of the product features listed above are misleading: It is a simple device that does NOT work with - Amazon Alexa - IFTTT - iOS App - Android App - nor does it require a hub. It does not contain batteries and the screen has no back light but is clear to read in good ambient light. Power drain is about 0.2W with no load. It seems to work well as a free-standing monitor of power consumed at a 13A outlet, and can also be set to display input voltage and frequency, load current and power factor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Older tech but works a treat Toyed with getting a monitor that will connect to smartphone but went with this instead - nice simple operation and large clear display

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product Exellent item. Really well designed and simple to set up. My only slight dissapointeent is that you cannot enter partial pence/kwh such as 10.25, it has to be a round number. A small and minor issue in what is otherwise a great product.

Does this provide reasonably accurate measurements on low power devices which have switching power supplies?

Asked by: StuartCP

does this show the amps draw

Asked by: Crado1
By cycling through the Energy options you can view the current draw in Amps as well as the voltage on the circuit and the power being used by the device.

Safety with a 2000W heater

I want to use this with a 2000W heater, but the manufacturer warns against intermediate devices/connectors as any weaknesses in them "may result in melting, distortion of risk or fire!" Should I be concerned or is this just a standard disclaimer?
Asked by: allnamesaretaken2
The ENER007 should be suitable for use with the heater as it is rated for 3000W of load. As long as the inrush when the heater is switched on does not exceed this, there should be no issues of failure for the unit. The unit is tested to ensure that if it is overloaded the unit does not catch fire so there should be no issues.

Does it retain info when switched off?

If this is unplugged or switched off, does it retain the accumulated information on usage/cost etc? And if so, for how long? The manual mentions batteries, presumably that's what they're for? Thanks.
Asked by: allnamesaretaken2
If the ENER007 does not have a battery enclosure on the back of the unit, if it has been plugged in for at least 1 hour the accumulated information will be retained for 24 hours on the latest version of the unit. If your ENER007 has a battery enclosure on the back then the ENER007 will retain the accumulated information for at least a week when unplugged.

Standalone Working

Your product specification says that it 'Needs a Hub'. I want to know if it will work without a hub for Stand Alone energy monitoring?
Asked by: IanP24
Yes it will this is and error in the text. The product does NOT need a hub it is stand alone but provides information visually on screen not through an APP.
