Rated 5 out of 5 by from KP review Brought these to fix brackets to a wall and post to stabilise the post. Easy to fit and holds the post solidly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Firm fixing Used to secure a gate latch after numerous previous plastic plugs had worked loose. Made more difficult as the mountings were unfortunately sited in the mortar joint rather than the brick (not reccommended, but unavoidable). Nevertheless, managed to get these anchors nicely tightened and looks like will last the distance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from V.strong, install not so hard! Bought these to fix brackets to a block wall for shelves to carry some very heavy items. I really wanted to be sure nothing would collapse and these sounded likely to do the job, but I admit I was very intimidated by the apparent requirement for super-accurate mega-drilling. I enjoy DIY but am not really competent to saw a straight line or drill a straight hole. Finally plucked up courage to try, and all are now in the wall, the bolts line up with the holes in the brackets, and the brackets line up with each other. And it's all absolutely rock solid, I'm pretty sure I could dance on it without anything wobbling. Method, I drilled a guide hole then drilled the proper hole with a 12mm drill bit. This consistently gave me a hole larger than the fixings, but it was easy to pre tighten the bolt just enough for the fittings to expand a little and still go into the hole but fit snugly enough to stay put and let me tighten the bolt to get full expansion. It was then easy to tighten the bolt enough to get the fittings absolutley rock-solid in the wall, after which it was easy to remove and replace the bolts as needed while I positioned the remaining holes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gun safe anchor points Used to fix a gun safe to a breeze block wall. These anchor bolts are much more secure than the ones that came with the safe. Don't see any reason why it won't pass the firearms officers inspection now.

Can I use on twin slot rails

Can I use M6 x 70mm Shield Anchors on Screwfix's 950 x 25 and 1400 x 25 Twin Slot Rails? Will these Shield Anchors be suitable. If not what fittings would Screwfix recommend to fit Twin Slot Rails to a concrete wall,. Thank you.

Are this suitable for a 12mm drill hole

I’ve drilled holes using a 12mm drill bit but these screws can easily be inserted in the 12mm holes without the need to be hammered in, is this normal or will I need to go for bigger bolts ?
Asked by: PravB
Hello PravB, The anchor should fit snug into the hole. If it is not fitting then you may need to use a larger bolt. Thank you for using Q&A

Weight per fixing

What weight will each fixing take? Is this a stable weight or a shock weight?
