Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value timer Having used many digital timers over the years i find these very good value with almost all the features of more expensive brands. I have only been using for a few months to control pumps in my garden but have no issues. My only gripe is that programming is a bit slow as you have to 'OK' each day for each program entry but fine once you get used to it. Overall very happy and would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price, poor instructions Once programmed, it works well and price is good. programming is non intuitive but after discussion with help desk becomes usable. Instruction manual less than helpful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too complex Disappointed. It is far too complex to understand. It has 44 memory locations! What does that mean? It would not let me programme it nor review it only comes on for 30 minutes. The instructions are nonsence. It is very complex do not buy. I think mine must have been broken.

Is this fuse protected?

I am looking to fit this unit into a building consumer unit which means removing 1 of the RCDs - Is this unit fuse protected or would I need to wire an RCD into the circuit?
Asked by: ScottBernard
Hi ScottBernard, No, there isn't any fuse protection within any of our timer models, but that wouldn't help anyway if it's an RCD you would be removing because that isn't performing a fuse function it's actually for leakage protection (i.e. to stop someone being electrocuted if they touch an exposed wire).

Would this work in series with a photocell

I plan to wire the feed to the timer and then wire the output to a photocell So the timer would come on always at 6 for example but the lights if feeds would only come on when dark. Then the timer would turn off when set
Asked by: chappers777
Hi chappers777, As long as you don't overload the timer (16A Resistive, 10A Inductive capacity) then the timer won't have any issues with whatever load it is controlling the flow of power to.

How many switching operations per day does this timer have

Asked by: Brucem3737
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. This British General Digital Single-Channel Timer Consumer Unit Module has a total of 44 available timer slots (effectively 22 on & off pairs). Each timer slot can be set for a single day or a combination of days (up to and including all 7 days). There are _no_ day-specific timer slots.

Would this be ok for a hotplate in a cafe?

Looking for a strong timer to set a hotplate to come on from 5am to 2 pm It is 3000w plate so needs a good timer Would this do or can you tell me what will please?
Asked by: dreyfuss666
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. This British General Digital Single-Channel Timer Consumer Unit Module has a maximum rated switching capacity of 16A (3,840W) resistive load or 10A (2,400W) inductive load, so your if your 3kW hotplate is resistive then it is within the capacity but if it's inductive it is too high a load.
