Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too complex Disappointed. It is far too complex to understand. It has 44 memory locations! What does that mean? It would not let me programme it nor review it only comes on for 30 minutes. The instructions are nonsence. It is very complex do not buy. I think mine must have been broken.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Programming The programming of these timers is out of the arc. I replaced timers at least 20 years old and the ease of programming those was 20 years ahead of the replacement BG timers. Looks like BG haven't actually thought about the needs of the user. Highly logical though the programming is, it's terribly clumsy for the user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little timer After searching I came across this little 7day/24hr single channel timer. It’s reasonably priced, compact and perfect for the job

Would this work in series with a photocell

I plan to wire the feed to the timer and then wire the output to a photocell So the timer would come on always at 6 for example but the lights if feeds would only come on when dark. Then the timer would turn off when set
Asked by: chappers777
Hi chappers777, As long as you don't overload the timer (16A Resistive, 10A Inductive capacity) then the timer won't have any issues with whatever load it is controlling the flow of power to.

How many switching operations per day does this timer have

Asked by: Brucem3737
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. This British General Digital Single-Channel Timer Consumer Unit Module has a total of 44 available timer slots (effectively 22 on & off pairs). Each timer slot can be set for a single day or a combination of days (up to and including all 7 days). There are _no_ day-specific timer slots.

Would this be ok for a hotplate in a cafe?

Looking for a strong timer to set a hotplate to come on from 5am to 2 pm It is 3000w plate so needs a good timer Would this do or can you tell me what will please?
Asked by: dreyfuss666
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. This British General Digital Single-Channel Timer Consumer Unit Module has a maximum rated switching capacity of 16A (3,840W) resistive load or 10A (2,400W) inductive load, so your if your 3kW hotplate is resistive then it is within the capacity but if it's inductive it is too high a load.

Standard Fitment

Hi will this fit into a Hager CU?
Asked by: Chally169
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. Dimension-wise any manufacturer's board should have a compatible DIN rail for this British General Digital Single-Channel Timer Consumer Unit Module to clip onto and the cover aperture should line up with the screen section, but we do not have specific technical details on any particular rival's boards so cannot be certain if this is the case.
