Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff Have used this stuff many times over the years and it always works a treat. I use it as a belt and braces fix on flat roofs over the felt joints and then seal over with bitumen based sealer. Always best to use in warmer weather as it sticks far better. Failing that use a heat gun to get it where you need it. Oh and best price was at Screwfix!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bostick flashband This is my go-to roofing band, best quality on the market. Easy to work with, cut to length and shape. When heated, it binds to a primer surface very well for a water tight seal.

Will this stick directly to brick?

Asked by: CRJ24
The Bostik Flashband is a self-adhesive bitumen based flashing tape with a grey lacquer finish on top and a resin modified bitumen on the underside. The product is primarily designed for roof repair and will bond to materials such as roof felt, concrete, wood and metalwork among others. It can also be applied to smooth brick work in general, however the brickwork will need to be primed first with the Bostik Flashband Primer, with the primer applied first and allowed to dry before application of the Flashband itself. The smaller 3.75 m rolls have a tin of primer with the roll, for the 10 m rolls, the primer is retailed separately.

Grey finush

I took the grey finish off as I though it was peelable, which it was. I have black finish. Is this wrong? Will it affect performance?
Asked by: Kati235
You should not remove the grey finish. If this has been removed the performance may be affected.
