Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to paint for woodwork I LOVE this paint. It goes on well, it gives a great finish with 2 coats and it is tough! The packaging has been changed to give a stronger emphasis to mould resistance but don't let that put you off for non mould risk areas. I paint on and then have a mini gloss roller to hand to get a good surface. Gives a sligthly stipple finish. In the words of my daughter 'it looks really classy' we have used it throughout her extension. Dries to touch pretty quickly too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the extra cash Bought for a newly plastered ceiling, put on two coats as per the instructions. So pleased with the finish tried it on the mdf skirting board and door. Easily the best paint I've ever used, don't know how long it'll last, but bought another tin as the missus wants all the doors done the same! I've used the exterior black satin previously and similarly good results. Glad I paid the extra cost for this paint.

tile paint

could this be used on kitchen tiles?
Asked by: Nettyg
Hello Thank you for your enquiry. While this paint may be used on the ceramic wall tiles, for the best adhesion we recommend using a primer such as Bulls Eye 123 (10135) to promote the best key. One or two coats of the primer should be applied by brush or roller at a coverage rate of approximately 10m2/L/coat, with a re-coat time of 1 hour. Once this has dried, the self-priming paint may be applied in two coats with a re-coat time of 2 hours. We recommend to ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, sound and free from any surface contamination such as dirt, oils, grease, mould, mildew, rust, loose or flaking paint etc that are likely to affect the performance of any subsequent coats of paint; to ensure this we advise the following prior to painting, clean down with hot soapy water, rinse with warm water and when dry have a good wipe over with methylated spirits to promote good adhesion. I hope this helps.

Is it best to use mould killer or fungicidal wash prior to applying perma white

Bathroom ceiling painted with emulsion previously, with mould returning. Will Stain Cover be enough before Perma white or should I use mould killer or fungicidal wash first. step by step description please
Asked by: Jackpl
Hi. Thanks for your enquiry. Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, sound and free from any mould or mildew. Scrape off any loose or flaking paint back to a firm feathered edge, treat any mould or mildew with a dedicated treatment and allow the surface to be painted to dry thoroughly before applying any paint. If there is any staining left from the mould treat this with a stain blocking primer such as Zinsser Cover Stain (17114). Allow the Cover Stain to dry for a minimum of 2 hours before applying the Zinsser Perma-White Interior. Two coats will provide a durable, cleanable surface that also helps to prevent any mould from affecting the painted surface. I hope this helps.

Can I apply oil based eggshell on top of this paint?

Bathroom ceiling, with signs of mould in the past. Would this oil based 3in1 be enough to stop the mould or should I treat the ceiling with antifungal agent first and then use other brand oil based eggshell paint? which is better Satin or matt?

Interior Metal Rail

Once I apply 2 coats of the zinsser bulls-eye stain blocker on my metal rails, can the perma-white paint be used as a final finish?
Asked by: Milla9
Hello Thank you for your email. Bulls Eye 123 primer is perfect to be applied to most metals and does contain a rust inhibitor, however if there is rust this will not prevent any staining pulling through. A more suitable primer in this instance would be Cover Stain (17114). When either of these primers have been used, the Self-Priming Paint may be applied over them. Two coats should be applied by brush or roller at a coverage rate of approximately 10m2/L/coat, with a re-coat time of 2 hours. Will this work on an MDF bath panel?

Asked by: MichaelFl
Hello Thank you for your enquiry. If the bath panel has been previously painted then the self-priming paint may be applied direct, however if this is bare mdf then two coats of Bulls Eye 123 primer/sealer (10135 & 10136) should be applied prior to the top coat. Two coats of the Bulls Eye 123 would need to be applied by brush or roller at a coverage rate of approximately 10m2/L/coat with a re-coat time of 1 hour. I hope this helps.
