I use the 5-Ways when using the 2 plate method on lighting installs and they're both a time saver and they put my mind at rest that I'm using the best possible product to ensure a professional job in accordance with BS7671. As a little tip - When you've placed all your cables into the Wago - Use colour specific insulation tape to provide a secure connection by wrapping a single run around the Wago (Over the top of the levers) to ensure it remains tamper proof in the future.

How do I test probe these? I can't seem to find a spot like the 222 has

Hi The connectors have 2 test slots. One on the back at the top in the middle. The other is under the lever marked WAGO. You need a 2mm test probe.

Would three of these fit in a standard wago box?

Yes but you need the WAGOBOX 221-4 (60413514). This version has 3 slots at the end.

Is there any safety reason that you couldn't bridge x2 5 way connectors to make 9 usable slots?

HI, No safety reason so long as you stay within the 32A. However with a bridge you will only have 8 usable spaces.

How many wires can be accommodated per hole?

I have a 7-lamp pendant light fitting and the manufacturer suggested using 3x Wago221 5-entry connectors to join the necessary cables (earth, live, neutral)... however this would mean doubling up the flex core in several poles. Is this possible?

One conductor per pole only. You would have to join 2 x 5 way together to achieve an 8 way solution or if you are using solid conductors use the 2273-208

Can you use it (221) to add a spur socket? 32amp rating?

Can you use a mount box and blanking plate or better to use a wagobox for Wago 221 connector. Thanks

Thank you for your question. The WAGO 221 Series connectors can be used with a mount box and blanking plate or a suitable junction box. It is the installer / customers preference as to which is better. The WAGO 221 Series connectors are rated up to 32a and can be used on a ring main or to create a spur.
