For fixing new oak sleepers would you need a pilot hole, and if so what size?

Asked by: Crashtest
Hello, Thank you for using Q&A. These can be used without a pilot hole, (see the first couple reviews on the webpage for these screws). Hope that helps. MH

Pilot holes

What drill bit/auger size and type do I need to drill the pilot holes for these screws, for timber sleepers? Thank you!
Asked by: J199921
Hello J199921, A pilot hole should be just smaller than the screw itself so a 4mm hole should be suitable. Thank you for using Q&A (CW)
