Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well on sleepers Good quality timber screw that is great at locking sleepers together. Better than some more expensive screws bought at local DIY stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timberscrew Gold at the beach Anyone with a beach hut will know just how corrosive the environment is on fixings. I have been using Timberscrew fixings (both Gold and Black) for several years now and this year I had to rebuild a barrier that had been wrecked in winter storms. Using the hex driver supplied I was able to unscrew these fixings easily from saltwater soaked oak. Surely a testament to their corrosion resistance and the rugged hex head that beats cross head types any day. These screws represent excellent value for money and getting a new hex driver with each box means never having to cope with a worn driver or find the old one!

Sleeper screws

Are these suitable for joining railwaysleepers
Asked by: Disappointed10
Hi Disappointed10, Without a clearance hole for the head, you may find these will be too short. For longer wood screws please look on our website for TurboCoach Screws, Timco Index Screws, TurboScrew ranges, GoldscrewPlus screws, Timco Veleocity screws and TimbaDeck screws. Thank you for using Q&A. PB

Can I drive these in so they sit flush with the sleeper?

Asked by: LimboDance
Hi LimboDance, Without drilling a relief hole for the head, these screws will sit proud of the surface because of the flange under the head. Thank you for using Q&A. PB

are these suitable for replacing asbestos roof nails fixings

Asked by: solog
Hi Solog, It may be possible that these are suitable for replacing asbestos roof nails fixings. As these do not have a rubber seal, you may wish to consider using the Easydrive Roofing Screws 6.3 x 80mm 100 Pack (5672P). When working with products containing asbestos, make sure you use the appropriate coveralls, gloves, safety specs and the correct grade of respirator or face mask. Thank you for using Q&A. PB
