Hi, should I try to fit another arrestor if one is not enough?

washer/dryer drying program uses bursts of water every few seconds. The arrestor has reduced the noise, but there's still thumping through the house.

Motorised Zone Value

Would this stop the noise when my MZV closes? from the water pressure, i presume? My plumber seems to think i like the noise..

Can this be fitted in any orientation, or must it be upright to work?

Asked by: DougDIY
Doug, I fitted mine yesterday. My isolation tap is fitted vertically and I just attached this to it and reconnected the machine hose.. the cylinder part rests horizontally... works fine. So, I suppose it CAN be fitted horizontally or vertically.

Same device as DW660-2J?

Is this same as Sioux device DW660-2J but with a T connector added? And will it definitely fit between wash m/c female hose fitting & male brass supply tap? Seems some complaints about threads being incompatible with bsp, why?
Asked by: Hudsville

Can this be fitted to a Washing machine plastic stop valve on plastic piping.

Asked by: Bud140
Bud, as long as the fittings you have are 3/4" male and female (as per the standard washing machine hose connections), then YES... just be careful when threading, that you don't cross thread the plastic. Also, take care when tightening that you don't twist or damage the plastic piping... mine needed a few extra tightenings to ensure leak-free joint from the device to water supply side... washing machine side was easier.
