Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product This product is so easy to apply, because it gives the appearance of water, does not leave any stains on concrete etc. My new shed has had 2 coats, and looks good. Time will tell how it lasts but at the moment I do not anticipate any problems. Also if you use a spray gun you only have to rinse it through. No mess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good wood Good product, very easy to use and apply and is odourless. Used this stuff some time ago and at that time it was not recommended for woodworm prevention. It was also a clear liquid. This recent purchase is a deluted milky colour and gives protection from wet and dry rot as well as protection from new woodworm attack but does not kill existing woodworm. Must be a new formula to give that extra protection. That's better than the previous stuff. Good value for money and well worth using as no protection could end up being costly if your wood gets attacked by fungi or woodworm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sika preserver This stuff is easily brushed on and dries to give a finish you can continue to work with. Beware this stuff has a shelf life so if you’re doing a small job this 5L container might be overkill

Is this ok for preserving wooden raised vegetable boxes? As don't want any harmful chemicals leaking into the soil.

Asked by: VegBox1
Sikagard Wood Preserver would need to be over coated with a paint if it is to come in contact with soil.

can this product be used in a spray gun?

Asked by: Pagi
Yes this product can be used by spray. If applying by spray we recommend a minimum of two coats. The second coat should be applied after the first coat has dried.

Can I use this product on a garden arbour?

We want a clear preservative to keep it looking natural. Would the seating area (or all of it) need more treatment? If so what would you suggest please? Many thanks
Asked by: 27blues
Sikagard Wood Preserver is suitable for use on exterior timber however it would need to be overcoated with a weatherproof product. It should not be left as a final surface when used externally.

Can Sika wood preserver be used as a top coat on outside fencing ??

Asked by: Bakwan
Hi, Unfortunately when used externally the Sika Wood Preserver must be overcoated with a weather resistant product. It is also not suitable to be applied over another product as it needs to penetrate into the wood.
