Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trade - Does a great job I bought this to grind an area of concrete floor to recess a plate. I cut into the floor using a channel cutter and made criss cross cuts to a depth of 20mm. Then chipped this away using a scutch chisel in an SDS drill. This left a good recess but very uneven and not suitable for a plate. I used the grinding wheel to level the recess. It did a fantastic job, almost to a polished concrete state. I would highly recommend this for a small job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard work needn’t be a grind Needed to smooth out the surface where two concrete screeding sessions met - the diamond grinding cup did the job with ease - wear a dust mask and goggles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brick cleaning Bought a cup to smooth off some raised patio tiles but then found its perfect for removing old mortar from bricks leaving them pristine for relaying. I agree use gentle pressure or you will end up with circular marks on the faces but this tool saved me hours cleaning 1000 bricks for re-use in an old barn Mask and glasses essential .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laitance remover Having used various other grinding discs (sanding 40 grit, diamond polishing 50 grit, finishing disc, etc) I was taking ages to remove 8 month old laitance on my anhydrite screed prior to flooring. The screwfix finishing disc was doing the job but I was getting through them rapidly and my knees and back were suffering because it was taking so long. With 150m2 of floor to grind it was breaking my heart! 80m2 in, I decided to bite the bullet and get this cup. It was much milder than my turbo cup which ate the floor up too quickly, but with gentle pressure (next to none) this easily removed the baked on surface, three times as fast as anything else. You must hold the disk flat otherwise it quickly cuts into your surface. I could live with the grinding marks since i am going to self level afterwards in any case. Bottom line - quicker but more aggressive than other disks

could i take off 2 or 3mm off self levelling compound with this and would it leave a smooth finish?

Asked by: tezza64
Just got it for this very job. Its a beast so use a small grinder or variable speed.

What grinder would this fit?

Asked by: Ga22
Hello Ga22, This should fit a 9" and 5" grinder provided they have the correct bore attachment size (22.2MM). Thank you for using Q&A.
