Rated 3 out of 5 by from does the job Works and dose the job. Good product and will do the job in an emergency, bought it so I dont have to get up at 2 and 3 in the morning during powercut. Slight problem in that the Picture does not match the battery so be careful when ordering. Pictures are similar to Yuasa NP1 shape and size, the type in stock are similar to NP2 shape and size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit Ordered the item, it was in stock so I had it within the hour. It was for my burglar alarm to replace the old battery which had run out, it only took seconds to fit, closed the alarm up, job done with no complications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nightmare alarm One of my rental properties that was empty had a power cut early hours of the morning. Unknown to me the alarm had been going all day, I would think upsetting a lot of local residents, I found out at around 18.00hrs. The backup battery was dead!! I went to my local Screwfix depot @ 18.30hrs, They supplied the identical one from stock. Thank you Screwfix I only gave reliability 3 stars at it an unknown quantity yet.

In the spec. you refer to the height & length of this battery. What is its depth?

My alarm control box is only 40mm deep.

Solar Lights

Could I attach my indoor solar lights to this battery?
Asked by: Patty54
Hello, We would not advise this as the use as it would be considered a fire hazard and may not be up to the ampage being pulled by lights. Thank you for using Q&A.

Would this be suitable to use with an electric fencing energiser and be kept outside?

Asked by: Tasmin0001
Hello, This battery couldn't be kept outside (in the open exposed to the elements). Also, this battery only has 2.1 ah. In terms of power, this would have little to no 'zap' for your fencing. If you're using it for fencing animals (i.e horses) it wont be anywhere near strong enough to deter them. Also, this battery isn't large enough to be able to provide power to an energizer/fencing for anymore than a few hours at most (its only a 2.1ah battery, to give you an idea a small car battery typically will be around 40-45 ah). I know some farmers use car batteries for fencing purposes, but it may be a safer option to opt for an actual fence battery/solar powered energizer (take a look at some equestrian/agricultural retailers for these). Thanks for using Q&A [DG]
