Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid,useful,easy-to-work with Add some Wago connectors, and fiddly connections become much easier if you are not an Electrical Ninja. Plenty of space to work, a solid carcass, plus well-fitting blanks. The lid fits with a reassuring click and seals well. I will be using these instead of old-style round terminal blocks in future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not watertight Although these are rated ip55 ie jets of water from all angles, I tested 6 of these brand new out of the box under a gently dribbling tap for less than 1 minute, 4 of the 6 had water in when opened. It's also very annoying that the manufacturer has responded to questions about the knockout size with wrong information. The knockouts are 23mm all 7 around the sides. Others have said that glands can't be used but if you carefully cut off the nipple on the inside so it is flush with the case and trim the outer to the 20mm size (the nippel is stepped so this is quite easy with a little care), this transforms the nipple into a neat grommet that takes the standard ip68 20mm plastic gland available from Screwfix or similar outlets..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value box Critics will be glad to hear that although the dreaded label is still on the front, I mananged to pull mine off by going slowly and gently. It came off in one piece without tearing and left no residue behind. I was fully expecting a battle, but had my white spirit to hand, which usually gets labels off. As far as the box itself is concerned, it was dead easy to fit and being made of slightly pliable (not brittle) plastic is a huge plus on an uneven wall. Ask me again in six months whether it has kept the rain out. Use the bottom knockouts if possible.

How does the front secure in place? It does not appear to have screws to hold it on.

Thank you for the enquiry the box clips in.

Why do you have a ugly barcode sticker on the front which you cannot peel off? Fantastic product but it looks disgusting with the unnecessary barcode sticker.

Asked by: Rayjay991
The sticker isn't a problem and can be easily removed without leaving a residue as it peels off - put a fingernail underneath. The removable cover has a retaining plastic strap on the inside - so the cover won't be lost or fall to the ground etc. and it allows the cover to be rotated to match the orientation of the holes, but the imprinted Schneider (name) label is smart but not obtrusive. All in all, it is a very neat and well thought through product.

Why not suitable for SWA?

I've seen a comment these are not suitable for SWA and glands, but I don't understand why not? I was testing a spare one and it seems it should fit
Asked by: MrBoy
Thank you for your inquiry. We would only recommend the plastic dome type glands to be use with the Schneider Electric 7-Entry Junction Box.

are these for use outdoors ?

Asked by: RANDERSON
Thank you for the enquiry these are rated at IP55 Protected against quantities of dust that could interfere with operation, protected against jets of water from all directions. This would be down to the installer on where they fit the product with the protection above
