First appearances seem good
I purchased this saw as an alternative to a TCT bladed saw. Which will saw steel, but ruins a £35.00 blade in minutes ( not practical )
I chose this particular model because it has a decent sized motor, but also a generous sized cutting ability.
As I write this, this saw comes as a direct delivery from the supplier, not from store.
Upon arrival , I had it working in less than 10 minutes. It came assembled.
It's quite a simple machine and easy to use. I found the best results are to let the machine cut in it's own time, rather than forcing it.
I expect to use for medium duty use, which is 100mm x 100mm box section with a 4mm wall.
The saw copes with this quite easily. For best results, it would be wiser to work on a large flat work bench or have some trestles nearby.
This saw like many similar ones, has an adjustable jaw
( with a supplied spanner )
So that it can be used for mitered cuts.
The blade has a spindle lock to assist fitting.
Although it's very early days, initial impressions are good and the saw meets my expectations and is earning it's keep.
The real acid test will be it's longevity. I think, that if used correctly and wisely. This saw should stand up to some reasonable work.
Which will depend on how hard it's worked and what it is expected to cut.
It also comes with a spare set of brushes, after that, who knows what might happen ?
It's a little too early to assess value for money. But essentially it seems a decent saw. I have been cutting 60mm x 60 mm box section with it. This is achieved without fuss. Due to the nature of the blade, ear protection is advisable
I imagine that potential buyers are cautious about buying an unknown name. Personally I think this product is pretty good. A very basic saw, but that's less to go wrong and it's easily portable
