Bad electric
Basicly on the box you will find label saying to test it within 24h from delivery. So i did and it was all good. I left it in garage for 3 days and finally was time to do actual work. As soon i turn it on noticed rpm counter doesnt work anymore and lazer too. So i left overnight again. Next day went to check is it still broken and it was.. I left it running for about 10 seconds and light bulb died on me. I test in in my house and it was burned so something not right with electric in this drill. Going to return it

Best tried but still out
I’ve looked at a lot of pillar drills now but finding one that actually drills bang on straight seems impossible which given what the item is seems ludicrous. This is the best of all the drills I’ve looked at. Vario speed is very nice. Finish on unit is good and cast iron table. It all looks great on the bench but when you put a good bit in the machine and tightened up the table then put a good square against it the table left to right was perfect but front to back it was out by 1mm over length of bit. So ended up sending it back. Why oh why don’t builders of these things put some form of front to back adjustment on the table?? Record power does with a small grub screw so I might eventually give up and pay even more for one of them as it seems like a lottery to get a new drill that is actuate to the table front to back otherwise. No wonder so many people look for old second hand ones!

What's the maximum depth from the drill head to the pillar?
It looks like the table & drill are adjustable, I need to know if that will be deep enough for my requirements. Many thanks.
