Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I needed to close up a Garage doorway, found these ties brilliant to work with and made the job much easier ensuring a strong bond to existing brickwork. As others have mentioned, spare ties can be used as hooks to hang tools from (garden tools look a lot tidier hanging on my garage wall)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Workable for new block work Bought these to tie in the new block work closing up an old exterior door way. Did the job with some tweaking (aka bending and squeezing a little) to ensure none of the tie protruded past either the front or back face of the block (100mm). Did the job so would recommend.

Can I use screw ties instead of toothing bricks. I’m building up the sides to put RSJ on

Asked by: Brickuk
Thank you for your question. In general this should be fine to use the screw ties as an alternative however you may wish to discuss this with your architect to discuss the load bearing requirements.

When you say length is 30cm....

Is that the total length? ...including the return bend? What is the length to the start of the return bend? I ask because I want to use them to tie new blockwork wall into an existing wall and have a cavity for insulation?
Asked by: LordRigbyshire
Thank you for your question. The length overall is approx. 30cms. The length to the return bend is approx 16cms
