Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid quality post spikes Pleasantly surprised at the quality of these posts - at least on a par with branded equivalents. Bought two to test their strength and more than happy to buy 10 more to finish the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fence post supports I bought these for future use when next doors fence blows down in the winter. They seem to be well made but much lighter than I had expected. I'm hoping when I do use them that they are up to the task. So I can't really judge on performance or reliability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spikes for Fence Posts Bought these as Reviews showed they were GOOD. Bought 2 packs 4 spikes delivered to local store, collected well packed. Opened at home to inspect and they are extremely well made and finished. One top is slightly out of shape but will pull in once wooden post is in place. The Spikes have not been fitted as the ground where they are to be used is very compacted and dry at the moment. I am contemplating coating the green paint with some Waxoyl to hopefully prolong their life in the ground. Excellent units and will purchase again when I require further Spikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on the market Having previously used the repair spike in this range I had no qualms in getting these Fence Post spikes. Much more sturdy than the competition (especially Metpost). Easy to drive, no buckling or twisting and the adjustable bolt is easy to use. One tip, when I dropped the posts in I used a couple of plastic shims to keep it straight in the slot while I tightened up. Great price, I will continue to use this range for my fencing jobs.

Will these 75x75 spikes tighten to hold a 70x70 post OK? thanks

Asked by: Fegato
Hello Fegato, Unfortunately these post spikes will not tighten up to hold a 70mm x 70mm post. You would need to put in 5mm wedges to make difference up. Thank you for using Q&A, [BH].

Additional fixtures

Do I need to buy any additional fixtures to attach the spike to a wooden fence post?
Asked by: WillF
Hi WillF, Though the holder has an adjustable clamp, you might like to consider using M6 wood screws or coach screws to secure the post to the fitting. I hope this information is of help to you.

How strong are these?

Looking to build a wooden climbing wall for the kids - will these hold up? Would I need to concrete them in too? Or should I go for the concrete in versions?
Asked by: Dufresne
Hello Dufrense, Every installation is different due to the varying circumstances of the site and environment. Therefore we advise that you contact a local tradesperson who will be able to view and assess your particular requirements. They will be able to provide further advice for the installation of the Fence Post Spike 75 x 75mm 2 Pack (50094). Thank you for using Q&A.
