Dunno- how much power do the straighteners take? If you look on the label, they need to be less than 1 amp (unlikely), I think you need a bigger one.

Charging laptop

Will this charge my solid state laptop rather than running it? The AC charger says 1.5amp input.

I would say no. Basic maths is 1.5A @ 240v +> 360w. This is a 150w one. You really need to go for something a bit bigger than the peak, so perhaps 500? Also strictly speaking you really want a Pure Sign wave one for sensitive electronics- in theory.
