Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ring Power Inverter 12V Needed this to power an air pump for collection of a fish from Suffolk. Worked perfectly for the entire 180 mile journey - 3.5 hours. Did the job it was required to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job Works fine, but bear in mind this is only 150W. Great for running my small laptop for a couple's of hours but may struggle with s larger one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor product Worked purfectly in my caravan for 3 occasions then stopped working on the 4th attempt. Warranty had expired at that point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from doesn't do what it says it can It says in on box can do 150w for 5mins then when you open it up it says it can only do it for 4mins on machine but it says it can do it, if you plug a 130w appliance in it don't work so just all lies and rubbish. taken back same day

Could I run this inverter for longer than 4 hours if it was only delivering 20w

Asked by: Anonymous

will this work using hair straighteners

can i power my hair straighteners using this when camping
Asked by: RWilkes
Dunno- how much power do the straighteners take? If you look on the label, they need to be less than 1 amp (unlikely), I think you need a bigger one.

Charging laptop

Will this charge my solid state laptop rather than running it? The AC charger says 1.5amp input.
Asked by: Cabra
I would say no. Basic maths is 1.5A @ 240v +> 360w. This is a 150w one. You really need to go for something a bit bigger than the peak, so perhaps 500? Also strictly speaking you really want a Pure Sign wave one for sensitive electronics- in theory.
