Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for thermalite blocks Used the 10x100's to hang a new radiator on a plastered thermalite block wall and its rock solid, could probably sit on it and it won't budge. The 100's may have been overkill, could maybe have used the 80's, but happy with the end result regardless. The old brown rawlplugs had fallen out and the old radiator was only held up by the pipework, so as a result i was a bit unsure on what plugs to use. So many different opinions online, its hard to workout whats best for your exact job, but general consensus seemed to be that frame fixings were the way to go as the extra length gives you the extra grip needed in such soft blocks. I used a 10mm universal wood drillbit, no hammer, slow speed and got perfectly clean holes. Sounds strange, i know, but the spike/tip on the wood bit keeps the drill bit perfectly centred and the blocks are that soft its like a hot knife through butter. Obviously wouldn't work on harder blocks. The plugs are made of really strong/thick plastic compared to others and tap in no problem and none of them tried to spin while tightening up the bolts (these aren't the hammer in type). No need to drill a slightly smaller hole size either, as a lot of folk suggest for thermalite, if you can drill a nice clean 10mm hole. Just be canny on the bolts and don't overtighten them. A smaller pack size would have been useful, however, well impressed with these so don't mind keeping for future use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fixing. These are a little bit more expensive than others, but they do provide an extremely good fixing.Have used on PVC door/window frames and to fix 75mm wooden posts to concrete posts, all with excellent results.Would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bit pricey buy worth it Used these to hang 6'x4' gates on my drive. Really strong and as of yet no movement at all. Not the cheapest on the market but I believe they are worth every penny. Just bought more to secure my pergola to the wall and ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing bolts. Worth the extra Bought these to anchor some upright 82mm posts to the side of a patio to then put some fencing up. Amazing bits of kit! MOre expensive than generic ones but I've had a greeat weekend using them so worth it. The plus itself are pretty tough plastic and the bolts have a hex head so you can use a socket set to get it in. My udnerstanding was to place the both in the plug and then hammer. But we had some issues with that and the picture on the box sort of shows not to do this actually. So hammer the plug in and then put the bolt in. You'll need something with a good turning arm to get them in (not a screwdiver) but they're so solid.

Are these ideal from fixing timber to a wall for a timber partition wall?
