Rated 4 out of 5 by from Resin Cheaper than wot I normally use which is a bonus BUT This stuff is very very runny which makes it hard to use on walls and the smell is really strong stank the house out for ages even with windows a d doors open . Did set rock hard but will keep it for using on floors and outside in future and buy different product for walls and indoor use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid fixing I used this resin to secure my cantilever style carport. The original bolts were screwed into very soft bricks and were loosening in strong winds. I replaced the bolts with 10mm threads and nuts. The resin was easy to use with the applicator (sold separately), and the long nozzles (2) enabled me to get the resin through the carport supports and all the way into the brickwork. It is now secure and much stronger.

Fixing glass balustrade posts into brick walk

I tried to fix some glass balustrade posts to a brick wall using anchor bolts and the bricks split. Given the top course of bricks are originated end ways as opposed to flat do you think drilling through and using your resin /resin bolts will work ?
Asked by: AndyN22

Is the resin smooth or gritty? Need it for floating shelf using threaded rod but have tried a gritty resin and it didn't work. The rods are already burries in the shelf otherwise I'd take them out and screw into the wall.

Asked by: d80adc
The consistency of the resin is not the important factor, providing you ensure the drill hole is as clean as possible (dust & dirt free, a vacuum is ideal for this) and the resin is mixed properly before injecting into the hole you will achieve a secure fixing every time. Ideally you should push the rod into the resin using a twisting motion to ensure the threads are covered and leave undisturbed for approx 1 hour before loading. With the studs already in the shelf this will be more difficult. The cured resin is harder than concrete.
