Is this suitable for wiring from the switch to the immersion heater. If not can you advise what is suitable.

This is not the cable from the fuse box to the switch via a spur.

is this cable suitable for a beko kddf653w Oven?

Is this is the suitable cable for the oven i have bought? Technical spec says to use the following cable: H05W-FG 3X2.5mm2. Oven specs are: Total power consumption 4.2Kw Voltage/Frequency: 220-240v -59Hz.
Asked by: andymuff
As a broad guide, divide Max wattage (4200 watts ) by average incoming voltage (230v) gives amperage (Allow 20% over for safety gives 22 amp. The theory is if load on cable lasts over an hour, you can overheat a cable that is bang on max amps. Look for a cable that can carry at least 22amps. You will probably find there is quite a difference in cable carrying capacity. I think this will carry 20 max . Next size up jumps to 25 amp and price follows. Spend the extra. Screwfix do not show loads. Go to another big, really big DIY site. Look up cables and find the safe size. Go back to Screwfix. Better service and cheaper prices !
