Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn’t take paint well This product is good value, and seems to work into the cracks well, and sands nicely. However it doesn’t seem to take vinyl Matt paint well, and leaves a nasty cracked surface. I used instead the alternative Toupret product (935JJ) in the same setting, and it was perfect.

Ceiling Filler

I have some downlight holes in the ceiling which have been filled with plasterboard but require patching up around the edges and smoothing off. Should these be filled with foam or is this filler suitable. Thanks
Asked by: Montymonts
Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. This should be fine, (LED downlights do generate a certain amount of heat but not as much as traditional bulbs). Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A.

Can this be used around gas fire surround?

Can I use this to smooth uneven surface between paint and plasterboard around my gas fire? It gets hot.
Asked by: Aurora2009
Hello Aurora2009, The manufacturer has advised "It would depend on how large the gaps are and what temperature it would be in that area." We can only recommend speaking with a local qualified installer who can assess your installation and make a recommendation as to if this would be suitable for your specific needs. Thank you for using Q&A

Suitable for shower tile repair?

Is this suitable for using to restore the plaster surface, which has come off underneath where a tile needs replacing in a shower? It's the cement below the plaster showing at present and I need a sound surface before using the tile adhesive.
Asked by: Bluesation
Hello Bluesation, This is suitable for use within bathrooms but it will need to be protected afterwards, wither by the tiles or by painting it. Thank you for using Q&A

Can this be directly over painted with gloss paint?

Asked by: Cwin
Hello Cwin, You can paint on to this with gloss paint but you may wish to undercoat first to blend it in better. Thank you for using Q&A (CW)
