Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I purchased these when redoing the bathroom. Previous builder had not put any values on the water supply pipes to the sink. So after turning off the water used these to plug the pipes whilst retiling and fitting the new sink. Did the job well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pluggy plug Decided on completing a job I'd been putting off for some time the next day, so was limited on bits needed, Luckily all bits where in stock at Screwfix. I don't normally use flanged plugs (rather use tapered) but did the job smothered in PTFE tape. This was a industrial install that wasn't under any constant pressure. Looked a well made plug and wouldn't have any issues using again with a bonded washer under pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful standby Recommended if you're doing any DIY plumbing and aren't very experienced! I was replacing a leaking toilet fill valve and bought this plug in case I ran into a snag. I'm glad I did, as the shank on the new fill valve didn't reach the fixed supply pipe, so I sealed the pipe off overnight with the plug so that I could open the stopcock again, and then went and bought a flexible supply pipe and isolating valve (which every cistern and tap should have anyway!). Now the job is done, I have a spare compression nut, which I can use with this plug and an olive as an end stop (although the push-fit end stops I also bought as a standby would probably be better, quicker to apply in any future emergency, and easier to remove).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blanked off fitting Used to blank off a concealed shower valve to pressure test. Shame they don’t come in multi packs as needed more than one.

Will this plug fit to block off a disconected radiator, so I can avoid sludge leaking when I lift it off the wall.

I have to temporarilly stop up a pipe to a tap.would a flange plug be ok to do this

if the existing nut remains to connect to!
Asked by: Pontyboy
Hello Pontyboy, Provided the existing remains and is in good condition this should be fine as a temporary stopper. Please monitor the connection while water is turned back on, until you are satisfied that the fitting is water tight, and peridoically. If you are in any doubt we would strongly recommend consulting a qualified plumber. Thank you for using Q&A
