Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent satin finish My oak worktops were desperately in need of a re-oil. After a light sand, 3 coats gave a great seal with a satin finish. I added a 4th coat around the sink and it didn't go too shiny. Fumes are less pungent than other brands I've used. Its a very fine oil and is absorbed well - will buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worktop oil I've used other worktop oil but this one looks better, dries faster and easy to apply.

I want to use this on outdoor pine table and chairs. I have heard about blotching issues with pine soaking up more of the oil in parts of the grain. To avoid this, what kind of product would be suitable to put on the wood before applying danish oil?

Can you please advise if this product will stain the wood? I have brought an alternative and the wood has turned a light brown!

Asked by: BigEddie1
It is not a stain as such but will bring out the grain so the colour does deepen. If you wet the untreated wood then the colour should roughly be the same as when Danish oil is applied. If you do not want a colour change then I'd go for clear varnish.
