Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not the best Used this all the time until discovering it was worth paying a bit extra for higher end, self priming water based paint. This doesn't flow as nicely and is doesn't seem to be as durable especially is the surface is not well prepped and primed first. Still good for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too quick In very hot weather it dries so quickly that you end up with a grainy brushmarked finish. However it is totally low odour and covers well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Value This leaves a good quality satin finish. Easy to apply and just the right thickness. Good value for money too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for Really disappointed with it, leaves streaky marks with a foam roller even after 2 coats of primer on mdf. Lesson learned will stick with dulux.

Is this paint suitable to paint internal woodgrain doors that are already primed?

The doors are already white and primed, just looking to paint them and wondering if this paint is the right one. If not can you recommend another...
Asked by: Manny92
Hi Yes - but you will need the fast drying undercoat first to get the best results

Whats the difference between this paint and Leyland Satinwood, they both appear to be suiable for wood and metal.m

Asked by: chicken1
Hi There The Fast Drying is water based and the Satinwood is oil/spirit based - they have similar finishes. It is really down to which type of paint you prefer to use as they have different charecteristics.

whats the difference between this paint and the Leyland satinwood. They state they are both suitable for wood and metal.

Asked by: chicken1
Hello Chicken1 The Leyland Trade Fast Dry Satin is water based, low odour and very fast drying. The Leyland Satinwood is oil/solvent based, takes 24 hours to dry, and the solvent odour is strong. The water based products do not discolour, the solvent/oil based ones do, over time, however the oil/solvent based products do have the edge when it comes to durability. They are the key factors to weigh up when choosing. Thank you

Can this be used on prepainted wood with oil based paint ? do I need to use primer or undercoat and which one ?

Asked by: Namsal
Hi Yes it can - you need to prepare the surface well by rubbing down with sand paper and make sure its clean dry and free from contamination.Apply the Fast Drying Undercoat first followed by the Satin.
