Hello Nn10
Yes, you would require the Leyland Trade Fast Dry Undercoat as well as the chosen Fast Dry Satin or Gloss.
Most untreated pine is quite knotty, so utilise a knotting solution on those areas, once dry, the timber is ready for priming. Dilute an amount of the Fast Dry Undercoat (10% or 100ml water per litre of paint) apply this to the timber and allow to dry.
The timber will fur up slightly, so abrade using an appropriate grade of sandpaper, take care not to remove the coating.
Once this is done, simply apply an undiluted coat of the Fast Dry Undercoat, and allow to dry. Again lightly abrade to create a key, and a smoother surface.
Once dry apply your chosen Fast Dry top coats.
Thank you
