Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for moulded doors Very good gloss paint for moulded doors. It does take a bit of getting used to, you need to be very methodical coz it dries quickly. My doors, frames and skirting boards still look great (no yellowing) years after application. It’s not very hard wearing though and any little knocks easily damage the paintwork. It’s difficult to achieve a good finish on a large flat area. Don’t use on window sills if you are planning on putting anything on them - your ornaments/plant pots/whatever will stick to the paint and peel it off! It does start to skin over in the tin over time which means you’ve got to be careful not to drag bits over what you’re painting. Overall a good product which doesn’t discolour and dries quickly. But does have limitations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, good finish First time trying water based paint. Very impressive. Goes on with minimum fuss, with plenty of time to work to a good finish even for average DIYer. Dries quickly, and with no odour. requires two coats to get good finish with a light sanding between coats. Will be back for another tin shortly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water based satin white I've used a few tins of this now on new wood and also painting over old gloss. Always covers well when paired with the acrylic primer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Coverage Fabulous coverage, fast drying and appears to be resilient. Hard to believe its water based. Usual excellent customer service from Screwfix using Click and Collect at the Halifax branch. Special thanks to Jagdeep who saved me a 20mile round trip when I ordered on-line from the wrong branch!!

Can this be used to paint a pine untreated bunk bed?

Asked by: Nn10
Hello Nn10 Yes, you would require the Leyland Trade Fast Dry Undercoat as well as the chosen Fast Dry Satin or Gloss. Most untreated pine is quite knotty, so utilise a knotting solution on those areas, once dry, the timber is ready for priming. Dilute an amount of the Fast Dry Undercoat (10% or 100ml water per litre of paint) apply this to the timber and allow to dry. The timber will fur up slightly, so abrade using an appropriate grade of sandpaper, take care not to remove the coating. Once this is done, simply apply an undiluted coat of the Fast Dry Undercoat, and allow to dry. Again lightly abrade to create a key, and a smoother surface. Once dry apply your chosen Fast Dry top coats. Thank you

This paint turns yellow after a month of painting

It said on tim it would not discolour I’ve just painted my hole house and month later it turns yellow
Asked by: Lorr123

Would this be ok to use on a built in TV cabinet and shelves made of mdf? I have already primed them with the Leyland mdf primer but a slightly worried whether this would be durable enough and whether it would remain to 'sticky' to put a TV etc on?

Asked by: Jamesk000
Hello Jamesk000 The Fast Dry Satin or Gloss is perfectly fine to use in this situation. The product is usually hard enough after a couple of days, to place items on, however to be sure leave it 7 - 10 days. Thank you

Can it be used on stone?

Asked by: Sean1234321
Thank you for your enquiry, if the surface is suitably primed or previously painted it can be applied to a stones surface, but not direct to bare.
