Rated 1 out of 5 by from No adhesion - peels off About 18 months ago, I used this paint extensively around my house. As usual I cleaned and sanded the surfaces before painting but I now find that the paint peels off in strips. A useless product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great undercoat I needed something to paint white melamine fitted wardrobes and was recommended this by a friend and also the Leyland high gloss to go on top. Have used on a few wardrobes now and it does not flake/chip off. Have also used on skirting boards and radiators and it gives a nice smooth finish. Nice to work with, goes on easily, doesn`t drip and dries quickly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent water based primer I have been using this paint for some time and find it easy to use, it covers well and is good value. I cannot fault it. It does not run or drip and gives consistent results using paintbrush or roller.

Using on concrete gravel boards

Can this be used on concrete gravel and concrete fence post prior to topcoat? I'm using exterior satin paint for easy wipe.
Asked by: Sebz
Hello Sebz I would advise against it, due to it not having any breathability, so any moisture within the board or post that can travel from the ground, will force the coating off. It will adhere though, and in dry situations be fine.

Is this suitable for pressure treated timber

We have had a summerhouse built and the exterior is 16mm pressure treated pine cladding. Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello jason1armstrong We advise that the timber has been left to dry for 12 months prior to decorating. When the treat the timber it is absolutely saturated, and this can prevent adhesion of coatings. Once dry, it is perfect to use the coating though. Thank you

Which is best for undercoating a summerhouse, acrylic or non acrylic leyland undercoat

Asked by: Paintornopaint
Hello Paintornopaint If the summer house is new, i would use acrylic. If the summer house has been previously coated, and the timber has been exposed for a while, then i would choose an oil/solvent based system. Thank you

Will this prevent peeling?

Does this primer undercoat provide good adhesion for the Leyland acrylic gloss? I've had problems with the top coat peeling off quite easily!!
Asked by: itsmfw
Hello itsmfw Yes it will, along with correct preparation. Clean and degrease, with a light abrade. Thank you

Can this be applied after a wood preserver but before a topcoat for an outdoor log cabin?

Asked by: Brooksy25
Hello Brooksy25 Whilst it can, you are better using the suggested method or system of the topcoat, just to remove any chance of failure.
