Rated 4 out of 5 by from Description needs correcting As pointed out in several reviews this unit uses TWO cables not one as described to be fully functional. If bought based on the product description hoping that this will allow a two tuner satellite receiver (Sky, Humax) to be used when they only have one downlead they will be disappointed. The product is good ( termination leaves a little to be desired), price is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Explanation of use There seems to be some confusion in the previous two reviews. This item has two coaxial cable connections, One of the connections is a simple feed to the SAT2 connector. The other connection needs a multiplex feed including Satellite, Terrestrial TV, and Radio. Some TV aerial distribution amplifiers have a facility for a multiplexed output. You can also use one of these LAP modules to produce a multiplexed output by feeding Sat, TV, and Radio into the connectors on the faceplate, and taking the multiplex output via the coax cable connection on the rear (right hand connection looking at rear with module oriented such that coax connections are at the bottom). If you use a DVM to check continuity you will not see a connection from the coax connection to the TV and Radio sockets as there is no DC path, just a radio frequency path. There will be a DC connection from the coax to the SAT1 connector as the LNB needs power from the Satellite tuner. Problems, awkward to get the coax cable laying in the pattress as there's not much room. Reliability, I just had one fail after 9 months of use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does ot fit into a module the quality of this product is very good. but as the cables connections are directly out at the bottom you can't then click the unit into a module backing. I even tried installing the cables with the backing fitted and then screwing the backing into the wall box but again as the cables entry is so close to the bottom there is not enough room for the cable to bend within the back box. this is very disappointing as one of the 3 installs is into a 4 way back box which I can't change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DiY Review I bought a pair of these to provide Satellite and Terrestrial TV in a new bedroom installation. Having seen the images on the website with arrows pointing both in and out of the socket, I assumed it was bi-directional so planned to put one in the loft and one in the bedroom. When I examined the real product , I noticed that both arrows pointed into the device. Neither a call for product support nor the enclosed instruction leaflet gave any clues as to the operational capabilities of the socket so I decided to experiment. The experiment was successful. Two sockets back to back carried two satellite channels and a terrestrial signal too. I have no doubt the radio connection would probably work too. My only concern is that the TV aerial connection is very sloppy and whereas most Aerial only sockets are female, this one is male. Despite the negative answer from a Screwfix expert on the Q&A page to the question about the use of Sky shotgun cable, I can confirm that this works fine. Much more information should be provided in the instruction leaflet enclosed with the product but it has a good feel to it and appears to perform satisfactorily

4 outlets 2 cables?

Hi I have 4 cables to my socket, Ariel in and out and 2 sat cables, although your module has 4 outlets there are only 2 inlets. How does this work?
Asked by: Fairmead
Hello Fairmead, Unfortunately Screwfix is unable to advise how this is installed. We would recommend contacting a suitably qualified electrician for advice. Thank you for using Q & A. DC

Hi. I want to replace an old unscreened wall socket. Currently my socket brings a feed in from the aerial, then a feed out to another wall socket in the back room. Can i perform The same task with this socket?

Asked by: Kirky75
Hello Kirky75, Every installation is different due to the varying circumstances of the site and environment. Therefore we advise that you contact a local tradesperson who will be able to view and assess your particular requirements. They will be able to provide further advice for the installation of the TV, FM & 2 SATELLITE QUADRUPLEX GRID MODULE. Thank you for using Q&A.

Using twin coax cable (sky+)

Can you confirm that this is unsuitable to use with twin coax (shotgun) cable for a sky+ setup AND a terrestrial TV feed?
Asked by: Zorro77
Hello Zorro77. The satellite quadruplex grad module is designed to take a single coaxial cable. Thank you for using Q&A.

What does the direction of the arrows mean

The picture of the backplate show 2 arrows, 1 in each direction. On the actual item I bought both arrows go in the same direction (i.e. both point in).
Asked by: Paul58
The arrows show the orientation of the cable clamp. The picture appears to be incorrect.
