Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not dimmable. Bought on the strength that the unit was dimmable, having read the Q and A's. Got it home and read the instructions, where it clearly states, 'this unit is not dimmable'. It requires a 240v supply for the internal relay and delivers 240v at it's output. You can, however, divert that output through a dimmer switch, et voila, dimmable lighting on your PIR. Range and operation is great and the manual override is a bonus. Now, as you approach my shed the lights come on, so you can see to get in and, with a couple of flicks of the switch, they stay on without the need to flap your arms about. Then, a twiddle of the dimmer and you're sat out on a pleasant spring evening (should we ever have one!) beneath your subdued lighting. Must get another one now, for the front lights and will report back on longevity, having only given it a 3 as I haven't had it long enough to comment and I had to put something.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed result. We have several of these sensors in our house. The first one failed after about 5 years, that's fine but the replacement failed after a few weeks. Screwfix replaced it no trouble. Another lasted only 2 years so I replaced it likewise. Not bad for the price I suppose but will be interested to see the longevity going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Replaced pull cord bathroom light with this in a recent bathroom refurb and it works really well. Tip - if you set the light sensitivity to around the middle position, the lights will only come on if you have the blinds down (after detecting motion). This way you can save a bit on electricity during bright days.

Lights stuck on

Used this to replace light switch. Worked for a good couple of years perfectly, but now the lights are stuck on. Does this mean it is broken and needs replacing? If I need to replace do I need to access roof space to get it out?
Asked by: Nik00
Hello Nik00, This does sound as though the unit is faulty. It is easier to replace these with access to the roof as you can release the springs. Thank you for using Q&A

Can you send me the instruction manual? It's not downloading.

Wanting to check this just gets wired up as part of the daisy chain if adding to a couple of standalone new spotlights connecting the a normal internal light switch... Hoping manual will explain.
